A Novel Voice-Activated Cleaning System for Smart Homes

This paper presents the design and testing of a voice-activated cleaning system for home automation. The system allows users to control a floor cleaning robot using voice commands. The robot is equipped with a Bluetooth module and a microcontroller that processes the voice commands received from a mobile device. The user can give various voice commands such as "move forward", "move back", "turn right", "turn left", "clean", "rotate", and "stop" to control the robot's movements and cleaning functions. The system utilizes speech recognition technology to convert the voice commands into digital signals that are then transmitted to the robot's microcontroller. The robot's movements are controlled by servo motors, and it also has a camera for live video transmission and recording. The software is implemented using the Arduino IDE and embedded C programming. The system aims to provide a convenient and hands-free way of controlling a cleaning robot, reducing manual effort required for floor cleaning tasks.
