Design and Optimization of Pulse Coil Structure for Electromagnetic Coil Launcher

In view of the limitation of the traditional winding method on the improvement of the dangerous area inside the drive coil, this article proposes a kind of cylinder-shaped winding method, that can not only improve the strength and solve the problem of electromagnetic stress concentration in the winding transition area, but also improve in the area where the strength and stiffness index are strict. First, the optimization measures of the winding mode of cylinder forming are studied theoretically, and then verified by simulation, and the transverse and longitudinal comparison between the improved modes is carried out by modifying the parameters; it is concluded that the combination of layered binding and pretightening force has a great effect on improving the strength and stiffness of the driving coil.
