Smart Avian: Enhancing Indian Ring-Necked Parakeet Welfare Through Automated Cage Systems and Connectivity

This study presents the development and evaluation of the Smart Avian, an innovative system designed to enhance the care and management of Indian Ring-Necked Parakeets. Leveraging smart technologies such as environmental sensors, automation mechanisms, and mobile connectivity, the system enables real-time monitoring, automated adjustments, and remote management of essential parameters within the bird cage. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative assessment through user surveys and qualitative evaluation via in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. Results indicate high user satisfaction with the system's usability, functionality, and overall effectiveness. Key findings highlight the intuitive design of the mobile application, the convenience of real-time monitoring features, and suggestions for further improvements, such as enhancing data synchronization and expanding feature sets. The Smart Avian represents a significant advancement in avian care technology, promising to revolutionize the well-being of Indian Ring-Necked Parakeets and setting a precedent for future avian husbandry advancements.
