Development of automatic wire gripper for transmission line conductors

A cable clamp is a tool used to clamp cables and is widely used in power systems. Traditional cable clamps have low working efficiency and pose a great risk of personnel falling from heights. Based on the working characteristics of cable clamps, a wireless controlled automatic cable clamp was developed through three-dimensional modeling, finite element analysis and other means. This eliminates the potential safety hazards of workers installing cable clamps at high altitudes, increases the installation speed of cable clamps, and provides a more advanced solution for the maintenance of power transmission lines.
