AI-Based Trash Collector Boat for Autonomous Waterway Pollution Management

This project develops an AI-powered autonomous boat for the collection of waste thrown into rivers, lakes, and coastlines. The “trash boat” will make use of computer vision in order to detect, classify, and collect floating waste, including plastics and other pollutants. Equipped with sensors, cameras, and AI algorithms, the system identifies where the waste is, navigate toward it, collect it, and offers clear avoidance of obstacles to ensure safe and efficient navigation. Aimed is to minimize the various forms of water pollution thereby protect marine ecosystems and support environmental sustainability through continuous autonomous waste collection within unreachable or water areas greatly polluted.
