Low Voltage Ride Through Strategy for Islanded Wind-Solar Power Stations Based on Virtual Synchronous Generator

This study focuses on enhancing the stability of islanded wind-solar power stations under low-voltage fault conditions. These stations, integrating wind and solar energy, are connected to the grid via power electronic converters but face challenges related to the lack of inertia and damping in traditional control strategies. To address this issue, a low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) strategy based on the Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) is proposed, ensuring stable operation during grid low-voltage events. Theoretical analysis and simulation results demonstrate that the proposed strategy significantly improves the stability and reliability of islanded wind-solar power stations under low-voltage fault conditions.
