Progress in the Application of Information Technology in Smart Mines: Research Hotspots and Research Trend

Information technology is an important technological factor driving the development of smart mines, leading the mining industry towards intelligence, efficiency, and greenness. In order to clarify the integration trend of information technology in the field of smart mining, we conducted a bibliometric analysis of English journal literature and patent literature in the field of smart mining from 2018 to 2023. Analysis has found that the application of multi intelligent robots in mining processes, the application of 5G efficient communication technology in intelligent mines, and intelligent mining under extreme conditions such as deep sea and space are the main research directions of intelligent mines in recent years. The application of multi intelligent robots in mining processes, the application of virtual reality technology in safety training and accident tracing, and the application of neural network algorithms in intelligent mining prediction models are the three research hotspots of information technology in the field of intelligent mining.
