An Assessment of the Role of Big Data Analytics Adoption in Promoting Competitiveness of Healthcare Organisations in Nigeria: A Quantitative Approach

This study assessed the effectiveness of big data analytics on the competitiveness of healthcare service providers in Nigeria, addressing sustainability concerns in the adoption of digital technologies. Utilizing a survey research methodology, 600 healthcare professionals participated, resulting in an 88.7% response rate from a sample size of 676. Data analysis was conducted through classical multiple regression, and the findings revealed that big data analytics significantly enhanced competitiveness, accounting for 93.7% of the variation in competitiveness of healthcare service providers in Nigeria (F(6, 556) = 1388.12, p-value = 0.001). The findings highlighted the significant importance of big data analytics technologies in improving healthcare delivery and recommends that healthcare organizations in Nigeria develop policies linking profitability to the effective use of big data analytics for long-term competitiveness.
