A Framework of Particle Swarm Optimisation for Enhancing Cloud Security

Cloud security is a critical concern in modern computing, where the efficient allocation of resources plays a vital role in maintaining system integrity and performance. This paper presents PSO as an approach for enhancing cloud security by optimizing resource allocation. It offers a systematic approach to optimizing resource allocation, ensuring robust security measures while maximizing resource utilization. The framework is structured into six phases, starting with problem definition, where cloud security objectives are identified, and optimization goals are set. Particle initialization follows, where potential solutions are generated. The framework then evaluated the fitness of these particles using a cloud security-specific function, ensuring that only the most effective solutions proceed. Through iterative application of the PSO algorithm, particles are continuously updated to converge on the optimal solution. The final phase involved deploying this solution within the cloud environment, followed by ongoing monitoring and adjustments to maintain security efficacy. This approach provided a systematic and scalable method for enhancing cloud security, addressing key challenges in resource optimization.
