Creating and preserving the architectural heritage and environment of ancient towers in the game space based on digital measurement and computing technology: Fangshan Ancient Pagoda, Beijing

The application of digital technology in the field of architectural heritage conservation allows real world scenes to be quickly transformed into game assets. This paper takes the ancient pagoda in Fangshan District of Beijing as the research object. Through case analysis, data collection, data processing and other methods, three-dimensional reconstruction technology is used to transform the ancient pagoda architectural heritage into a virtual scene that can be used in games. The purpose is to summarize the work flow of data collection and processing in the digitization of heritage, carry out virtual restoration of ancient pagoda and backup protection of real heritage environment with the help of virtual space. We find that the scientific and efficient heritage image acquisition strategy guarantees the efficiency and accuracy of 3D reconstruction. Immersive heritage environments combined with interactive games can be both an excellent heritage preservation method and an effective educational and cultural communication strategy.
