Cybersecurity Approaches to Preventing Counterfeiting in Digital Products

The aim of this present research is to look at some of the cybersecurity measures that can be used in order to counter the issue with counterfeiting in digital products. To implement this approach, we have suggested the use of blockchain for tracking and storing food origin, digital watermarking methods, strong powers of encryption and signature, and artificial intelligence for detecting any irregularities. It has shown that there are big gains in a number of measures. Post adopting blockchain, cases of counterfeiting were accorded from 150 per month to 10 per month, a 93. 3% decrease, while the time taken in making a confirmation reduced to 5 days from 30 days, implying an 83. 3% improvement. From this Digital watermarking reduced the cases of unauthorized copying per month from one hundred and two hundred (200) to two zero (20) that is reduced by 90%. Moreover, the time spent in removing water marks increased from 2 hours to 20 hours, that is an increase by 900%. Better encryption and improved authentication reduced instances of attempts at unauthorized access from 500 to 50 per month ( 90% decline), and wiped out cases of data integrity compromise. AI and machine learning enhanced near-detection efficiency from 70% to 95% which is equivalent to 35. 7% enhancement in the detection accuracy of the system, and minimized the time taken in identifying the anomalous data to 10 minutes decreasing the time taken from 2 hours to 91. 7%. So, these considerations point to the fact that using high levels of cybersecurity reduces the dangers of counterfeit digital goods, thus, enhancing greater security and, consequently, consumer confidence in digital products.
