High Gain Decagon shaped Tri-Band Patch Antenna for K/Ka band Satellite Communications

Compatibility plays a major role in our modern life as it fosters innovation and flexibility in development. In this paper tri-band, decagon-shaped is designed for the size of 12 mm x 12 mm. To achieve the multiband a small decagon with a length of 3.5mm is slotted from the outer decagon patch antenna with a circular center patch of radius 1.5mm with a rectangle is used to connect the outer decagon. Applications involving satellite communication in the K,-Ka-band are the focus of the proposed antenna. The decagon-shaped patch antenna on the RT Duroid Rogers 5880 substrate measures 12 mm x 12 mm overall and has a 1.5 mm height. The designed antenna resonated for three frequencies which are 23GHz, 30.9GHz, and 37.5GHz. The proposed DSPA achieves steady and symmetric radiation with a peak gain of 6.1dBi at 23GHz, 9.5dBi at 30.9GHz, and 6.3dBi at 37.5GHz. The suggested antenna structures gain, radiation pattern, VSWR, reflection coefficient, and field distribution are among the antenna properties that can be simulated and examined using HFSS software. The suggested antenna is ideally suited for wireless applications that demand small dimensions, increased directivity, high gain, and exceptional radiation characteristics.
