Power Control Using Sub-Battery for Electric Motorcycle

This study proposes an energy management approach for electric motorcycles, addressing the limitations of conventional lithium-ion battery (LIB) systems in terms of high-speed performance. The proposed battery system incorporates a high-capacity main battery, and a smaller sub-battery with an H-bridge converter. This configuration is designed to enhance power control during acceleration and during regenerative breaking. Additionally, it facilitates in-ride charging of the sub-battery.
