Design of the Hydroelectric Turbine Unit's Evaporative Cooling Automatic Control System

Addressing the issue of excessive manual intervention in evaporative cooling control systems, a design based on electrical automation has been developed for an automated evaporative cooling system. To achieve automated fluid supply, drainage, and vaporized cooling agent recovery, thereby enhancing the reliability and safety of the evaporative cooling system, the design mainly encompasses hardware development and control program coding. The system was then subjected to practical application tests in an actual hydraulic turbine evaporative cooling system, focusing on automating fluid supply, drainage, and vapor recovery. The test results indicate that the automated evaporative cooling system is capable of real-time monitoring and recording of liquid levels and pressure data. Furthermore, it successfully automates the fluid supply, drainage, recovery of vaporized cooling agents, and alarming processes.
