An Efficient Approach on Image Encryption Steganography based on 2D SWT with Chaotic Techniques

Image encryption and steganography are crucial techniques for securing digital imagery, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity. This paper proposes a novel and efficient approach that integrates 2D Stationary Wavelet Transform (SWT) with chaotic techniques for image encryption steganography. The 2D SWT provides a multi-resolution representation of images, enabling effective analysis and processing in both frequency and spatial domains. Chaotic techniques introduce randomness and complexity into the encryption process, enhancing security and resistance against attacks. In this approach, the image encryption process involves employing chaotic maps to generate encryption keys or masks, which are then used to modify the coefficients obtained from the SWT. The secret information is embedded into the image using the modified coefficients, ensuring its invisibility and robustness against various attacks. The proposed method offers enhanced security, efficiency, and flexibility for secure transmission, storage, and manipulation of digital images. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in terms of security, robustness, and computational efficiency, making it suitable for a wide range of image security applications.
