Heisenberg Algebra Implementation to AAG Algorithm for Secure Data Transfer in IoT Networks

Specificity of IoT is that it enables the users to access many unique services and to interact with Internet-connected objects such as for example sensors. This is related to the growing demand for intelligent sensors, applications or reliable networks connecting this system on a larger scale. The use of IoT is becoming a real life. Early local networks were unable to communicate with the outside world, but when connected to the global network they discontinued to be anonymous. Collected and transmitted data is now exposed to interception, unauthorized changes or illegal use. Phishing or sniffing of such networks is becoming very easy and therefore data transfer should be fast, trouble-free and, above all, secure. Sensor networks have a distributed topology which further complicates the provision of secure communication. In addition, the protocols used for each of these networks do not have a uniform standard. Security aspects for the transmission of sensitive data are of great importance and the proper functioning of the IoT-based system. This article discusses possibility of using the AAG non-Abelian group algorithm for secure data transfer in IoT networks. Our results indicate that ability to implement the AAG algorithm in the TLS protocol allows faster data exchange and more energy-efficient solution due to its structural simplicity. Data encryption and generation of a secret key is achieved just in a few steps. Such a simplicity of this solution can speed up the process of information transfer, where the speed of the system's response to the received data is a decisive factor of security, or sometimes even is a matter of a user’s life.
