Implementation and Verification of Electromagnetic Shielding for Power Inspection UAVs in the Complex Electromagnetic Environment of Converter Stations

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are increasingly used for power line inspections, but they face challenges from Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) in converter stations. This paper introduces an electromagnetic shielding solution for UAVs used in power inspections, addressing the challenges posed by EMI in converter stations. A conductive paint-coated shielding shell was designed and tested through simulations and 3D printing. The study evaluates shielding effectiveness across various conditions and confirms its practicality, offering a strategy for UAV operation in complex electromagnetic environments and guiding future development in this field.
