Plane Wave Excited Coaxial Cables Coupling Model and Simulation

the modeling method of electromagnetic coupling problem of overhead shielded cable on lossy ground plane is studied. Based on the Agrawal model of coaxial cable, the induced skin current of the shield layer under external field irradiation is obtained, and the internal excitation source of the core is obtained by the transfer impedance and transfer admittance parameters of the coaxial cable. The numerical results show that the core induced current increases with the increase of cable length, as well as the peak induced current and the time of rising and falling edge of current. The induced current of the core wire decreases with the increase of the distance from the ground plane. With the increase of terminal impedance, the reflection modulus increases, the reflection of the induced signal at both ends increases, and the amplitude of the induced signal decreases. When the incident polarization Angle is [0,90°], the induced current of the core wire decreases with the increase of the polarization Angle. With the increase of the earth conductivity, the amplitude of the induced current at the end of the core wire decreases.
