Implementation of an All Terrain Exploration Rover Robot and a Camouflaged Rover Robot

In this work, an All Terrain Exploration Rover Robot which is named as ALTERR is implemented using Arduino Uno and Arduino Nano microcontrollers. The developed prototype model is a sophisticated rover robot that can be deployed in exploration missions with a high degree of maneuverability and sustainability. The robust chassis of the ALTERR which is designed using sunboard sheets is able to carry a payload of upto 5 Kgs. The use of sunboard sheets for designing the chassis of a rover robot is tried for the first time as it offers benefits such as lightweight, less noise, faster maneuverability, etc. as compared to the traditional metal chassis. Moreover, a camera module is also installed on the ALTERR for identifying the environment and navigation purposes. Innovation in technology leads to advanced forms of warfare. A camouflaged rover robot was also designed for military applications. As the name implies it is equipped with the ability to change its color depending on the environment it is deployed in. It is also equipped with a Wi-Fi module so that it can be tracked by its rightful owner remotely. The use of a Wi-Fi module also enables the owner to issue commands for controlling the camouflaged rover robot, process and analyze the data transmitted from it.
