Intelligent Scheduling of Prefabricated Building Construction Combining BIM and Digital Twins

With the development of digital technology, prefabricated buildings tend to be intelligent in controlling the construction process and cost. Traditional scheduling methods have been unable to meet the scheduling requirements of mass construction sites. Therefore, a scheduling solution that combines the building information model with digital twin technology is proposed. Meanwhile, the important processes on the construction site are coded and combined with the virtual model for real-time scheduling. The results showed that process 52 consumed 0.92 and 0.19 in construction section status and component category identification, respectively. Process 53 consumed 0.84 and 0.93 to determine the component location coordinates and count the available resources in the construction area, respectively. Processes 53 and 54 spent 0.66 and 0.74 on determining the component location coordinates and counting the available resources in the construction area, respectively. During the construction of process $55,0.66$ and 0.74 were spent on selecting the professional category and determining the construction floor respectively. The time spent on screening professional categories and confirming the construction floor status was 0.20 and 0.36, respectively. This indicates that the proposed scheme can accurately control the construction time of the process, and the scheduling control during the construction is more accurate, greatly improving the construction efficiency,. The method also provides technical support for the intelligent development of the construction industry.
