Magnetic Field Distribution Analysis in a Hybrid Magnetic Bearing

This research offers a thorough investigation into the distribution of magnetic fields within hybrid magnetic bearings (HMBs) using the Finite Element Method (FEM), a pivotal tool in advanced engineering investigations. Additionally, the study deals with the dynamics of magnetic influence between stator and rotor magnets within the HMB system. Hybrid magnetic bearings, which combine permanent magnets and electromagnets, offer superior stability and control, improved performance, reliability, and efficiency in various engineering and applications compared to traditional bearings. Through comprehensive simulations and experimental validations, this study reveals the intricate interplay between the magnetic components, highlighting the enhancements in performance and efficiency. The findings demonstrate that hybrid configurations can significantly reduce power consumption while maintaining high precision and reliability.
