A Swing Rate Controllable USB-PD Transmitter Design

For the universal serial bus power delivery protocol communication process of electromagnetic interference and the traditional driver circuit current changes and wafer fabrication process fluctuations lead to uncontrollable edge precision A high-precision PD driver with adjustable high level and controllable swing rate is designed to solve this probleml'I. Driver three-stage drive circuit structure: the level control circuit will transmit the reference voltage to the edge circuit; edge generation circuit for pendulum rate control and adjust the capacitance of the pendulum rate trimming; power output circuit using class AB power output circuit to provide a strong driving ability. The chip adopts 30V 0.18 um BCD process. The results show that the transmitter can achieve a trapezoidal square wave with a high level of 1.125V at 300kHz pulse, and its edge time is controlled between 300ns~500ns.
