Improving Road Safety via Advanced Monitoring and Intelligent Emergency Response Systems: Leveraging IoT and AI

Road accidents remain a critical global issue, exacerbated by factors such as driving under the influence of alcohol, health-related driver incapacitation, and delays in emergency response. This study aims to address these concerns through the development of an intelligent driver safety system that integrates multiple sensor technologies. Specifically, the system focuses on detecting intoxication through alcohol sensors, monitoring driver health through heart rate analysis, and ensuring rapid emergency response in the event of accidents. Leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) and advanced sensor technologies, the proposed solution accurately identifies the root causes of accidents and analyzes potential seasonal trends to inform preventive strategies. Additionally, real-time accident detection and automated alert mechanisms are integrated to minimize response times for emergency services, thereby reducing fatalities and injuries. The system is designed to enhance overall road safety by providing proactive monitoring of driver behavior and physical condition and enabling swift post-accident intervention. This study presents a comprehensive approach to improving road safety and reducing accident-related fatalities by combining intelligent detection, health monitoring, and immediate emergency communication.
