Revitalizing Cultural Heritage Through Augmented Reality: Lessons from the Ashoka Pillar

Augmented Reality(AR) technology may assist cultural asset conservation and enhancement, using India’s Ashoka Pillar as a case study. Augmented reality may view historical relics like India’s Ashoka Pillar. The work will produce augmented reality software to mimic the Ashoka Pillar’s complex construction and highlight its cultural worth. We want to make cultural history more engaging, accessible, and participatory for local and global audiences. Multidisciplinary AR app development engages consumers with interactive, aural, and visual elements. Tool integration, system optimization, and UX design were done in Unity 3D, Blender 3D, Photoshop, and Vuforia. This technique explains immersive app development technological issues and frames augmented reality development concerns. This study synthesizes scholarly works on AR and cultural preservation and comprehension. ARdriven heritage market trends, difficulties, and potential are covered in this literature review to build new solutions. Contributes in numerous ways. Augmented reality can enhance tourist experiences, engage cultural assets, and sustain heritage sites. This study underlines the necessity for scholars, developers, cultural organizations, and local communities to collaborate on augmented reality for cultural preservation and education. It offers realistic recommendations for scholars, professionals, and public officials preserving historical treasures with immersive technology.
