Guest Editorial: Passive Reflective Communication for Internet of Things

As a cornerstone of sixth-generation (6G) communication, the vision of “Internet of Everything and Digital Twin” envisions a future where humans, machines, and objects, are deeply integrated, enabling seamless interconnection among millions of people and billions of devices. However, the sheer volume of data traffic and the growing number of terminal access devices will bring tremendous challenges for 6G Internet of things (IoT), including spectrum resource scarcity and heightened energy consumption concerns. To address these challenges, it is essential to develop innovative communication technologies that are both spectrumand energy-efficient for future IoT networks.
