Teeth Alignment Prediction Using U-Net

Orthodontic treatment aims to straighten teeth to improve their appearance and functionality, involving the prediction of teeth alignment to evaluate the patient’s dental structure before treatment. Despite its complexity, advancements in deep learning have enhanced prediction accuracy. The system uses U-Net for precise segmentation of dental images and ResNet for reordering mispositioned teeth, ensuring consistent and reliable alignment predictions. This integration emphasizes the importance of consistency and reliability in assessing teeth alignment, enhancing orthodontic evaluations and streamlining treatment planning, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes.
