Solar Powered Raspberry Pi Based Snack Vending Machine Using QR Code

The solar powered snack vending machine repre-sents a sustainable innovation in the realm of vending technology. This paper outlines the design and implementation of a solar powered snack vending machine, aiming to combine sustainability with modern convenience. It can provide essential foods in remote outdoor locations. It is powered by a 75W solar panel and a 12V battery with 2 days of autonomy and operates without traditional power sources. It is automated by a Raspberry Pi microcontroller which offers product selection and digital payment through a dedicated website, supporting platforms like Unified Payments Interface and PayPal. The machine features precise dispensing with 12V DC motors and Infrared Sensors, and is designed for unmanned operation. This solar powered snack vending machine not only offers a sustainable alternative to conventional vending machines but also serves as a practical application of renewable energy in everyday scenarios.
