Optimization of Performance Characteristics for Perovskite Based Solar Cell

Perovskite Solar Cells (PSCs) are generating significant attention owing to its outstanding optical, electrical properties and photovoltaic efficiency. This study focuses on theoretical optimization of a highly efficient PSCs with a CH3NH3PbI3 absorber layer. The optimization process was conducted using the SCAPS-ID, aiming to identify significant efficiency by optimizing different charge transport layer. It examined that in CH3NH3PbI3 as an active layer having different Electron Transport Layers (ETLs) - ZnO, IGZO, MZO - and Hole Transport Layers (HTLs) - MoO3, Cu2O, CuI, CuSCN, ZnO (ETL) and Cu2O (htl) yielded the highest efficiency of 26.31 %. These findings suggest that with CH3NH3PbI3 ZnO and Cu2O is a promising ETL and HTL for PSCs.
