Power Level Sizing of In-Motion Wireless Power Transfer for Electric Vehicle Charging

In-motion wireless power transfer (WPT) is set to compete with other forms of EV charging infrastructure in the future. With rapid technological developments, design specifications must be oriented towards real-world requirements. This paper investigates necessary power levels from an infrastructure planning perspective, with a real case study from New Zealand.
