Analysis of Integration of Renewable Energy into HVDC System via Advanced Marx DC-DC Converter Equipped with Fault Ride-Through System

As the world shifts to cleaner energy sources, new ways are needed to integrate renewable energy into existing power systems. This study introduces a novel method to seamlessly combine renewable energy sources with High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems using an innovative Marx DC-DC converter. Using advanced computer modeling and simulation techniques, this research delves into the intricate design challenges of HVDC systems and renewable energy integration, providing a thorough understanding of the technical complexities involved. This research starts by explaining the basics of Marx DC/DC converter technology. After designing the converter, it is integrated with the HVDC system. The integrated system has a DC fault protection mechanism that can quickly and effectively find and fix faults. This makes the system more resilient and reliable. The paper looks at how the system responds to changes in operating conditions in steady-state and transient situations to show how flexible and efficient it is. Additionally, all designs and simulations follow the IEC standard 60071-11:2022.
