Enhancing Selective Attention of Students with Learning Disabilities Through an AI-Based Strategy

This study investigates the effectiveness of an AI-based strategy in enhancing selective attention among primary school students with learning disabilities. A two-group design was employed with a total of 28 students, divided into 15 in the experimental group and 13 in the control group. Both groups underwent pre-testing measures followed by the intervention for the experimental group. The findings revealed significant improvements in both visual (U = 37.00, p= 0.009) and auditory (U = 23.00, p= 0.002) selective attention skills in the experimental group after the AI-based intervention, while no significant changes were observed in the control group. These results underscore the potential of AI-based strategies to effectively improve attention and focus in students with learning disabilities. The study recommends integrating AI-based strategies into educational programs for students with special needs to enhance their academic progress and skill development.
