Research and Application on Cleaning Technology of Rock-Cast Dam for Submarine Cable Emergency Repair

Cover removal is one of the difficulties in submarine cable repair, and there is no experience in manual fine-tuning the submarine cable rock dam. This paper focuses on the submarine cable rock dam cleaning project in a certain sea area in the south, and analyzes and compares the underwater mechanical cleaning technology and manual cleaning technology of the rock dam, and combines manual and mechanical cleaning technology to formulate a detailed cleaning process plan and safety control specifications. By using the underwater cleaning technology of “diver + ton bag + airbag + underwater jet device”, the fine-tuning cleaning operation of the submarine cable rock dam has been achieved in a pioneering way. This is a new cleaning mode for rock dams, and it gives a new direction for the subsequent fine-tuning cleaning of rock dams.
