A Review on Smart Glass with Voice Notification for Blind and Visually Impaired

The study of this project is to provide eyesight impaired individuals with aids to voice notifications, vibration alerts, and emergency assistance through GPS in real time to enhance mobility, safety, freedom, and independence. This study has several features where the first is obstacle detection using ultrasonic and infrared sensors, the other one is object detection using a camera, and then Optical Character Recognition (OCR) decodes printed text and converts it into audio. It recognizes obstacles-people, furniture, stairs, and gives feedback through audio or touch signals in safe navigation. Detected obstacles within range will sound vibration alarms. All this has been designed portable and cheap in this device, which really lies between the goodwill and large-scale technology for enhancing the daily lives of these vision-impaired people. improves mobility, safety, and independence for users.
