AI-driven Real-Time Monitoring of Earthquakes using Google Earth Engine

Timely monitoring of seismic activity is crucial for prompt earthquake detection and response, hence mitigating the impact of these natural calamities. Recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and remote sensing technology have facilitated the development of innovative seismic monitoring systems The main focus of this research is on using artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms in conjunction with Google Earth Engine (GEE), a cloudbased geospatial analytic platform, to monitor earthquakes in real time. Using GEE's extensive satellite imagery archives, we demonstrate the use of artificial intelligence such as machine learning and deep learning to detect earthquake events, measure ground motion, and predict earthquake impacts. In addition, we explore the challenges, potential benefits, and future perspectives of using AI (artificial intelligence) and GEE (Google Earth Engine) to monitor earthquakes. We highlight the importance of engineers, data scientists and geologists will work between different projects.
