Enhancing Healthcare with a Hybrid Mobile and Web-Based Health Record Management System

The digitization of health records has become important for improving healthcare facilities and patient outcomes. This paper shows the development of a comprehensive Health Record Management System (HRMS) that integrates a mobile application and a web-based platform for hospital administrators to manage patient records. This paper explains the architecture, database design, and functionality, highlighting its potential to enhance patient care and streamline hospital record management. The system uses Aadhaar-based authentication, which allows the patients to access their medical record, including diagnostic images, via OTP. The app also provides features such as disease trend analysis and hospital search within a 5km radius, with filters for specific cases for e.g. Accidental Cases. Built with NoSQL and Firebase for database management, the mobile app is developed using Java, while the admin interface uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
