Design a C_X Dual-band Dual-mode Rotary Joint

A novel C- and X- dual-band dual-mode rotary joint is proposed. The C-band rotary joint operated in TM01 mode and the X-band rotary joint operated in TE01 mode are united during the design. The two modes with orthogonal field components transmit in the circular waveguide simultaneously. The TM01 mode in the C -band is excited by a rectangular waveguide H plane T which is located at the end of the circular waveguide. The TE01 mode in the X -band is obtained by three rectangular waveguide E-plane Ts which are located at the side wall of the circular waveguide. The design results show that the rotary joint has a simple structure and a compact size. Meanwhile, the simulated reflection coefficients in dual-bands are superior to 20 dB.
