Heliostat Field Theoretical Efficiency Calculation Based on Innovative Monte Carlo Simulation

Through this analysis of a mathematical model of optical efficiency, this research summarizes, refines, and solves the theoretical calculating problem of optical efficiency in heliostat field, which effectively simplifies a complex three-dimensional irradiation problem of a heliostat field into a two-dimensional problem. Among them, the shadow and obstruction efficiency are the key factors affecting optical calculating of the heliostat field; Combined Monte Carlo simulation, this research adopts a series of coordinate transformations to simulate the light tracking on the two-dimensional plane, which provides a new idea and theoretical calculation for efficiently and accurately calculating the efficiency of shadows and obstacles.
