Intelligent Cable Routing Optimization of Ship Power System Driven by Genetic Algorithm

This paper proposes an intelligent cable routing method based on genetic algorithm in ship power system within 3D ship design, which addresses the increasing complexity and quantity of cables on large ships, as well as the time-consuming and difficult global optimization problems of traditional manual cable routing design. The method intelligently plans the routing path of cables in the 3D ship design space. In order to verify the effectiveness and practicality of the method, this study conducted MATLAB simulation and functional verification within the CATIA 3D design environment. The experimental results show that this method can quickly achieve path planning, and the path planning results meet the requirements of specified starting and ending positions as well as the separation of strong and weak electrical cables. The path planning speed is fast, saving a lot of manpower and meeting the increasingly complex and integrated requirements of ship design.
