Open-Pit Railway Transport Traction Complex Power Consumption Mode Modelling

This paper is a study of the power consumption modes of an open pit rail transport traction complex. To study the power consumption modes of the rail transport complex, a model of a traction transformer substation that supplies part of the traction network was developed in a visual programming environment, and the operation of a traction network consisting of four locomotives with different control angles of the rectifier of each locomotive was Simulation. Using the IEEE 1459–2010 standard, the order of distribution of power components for a three-phase circuit is calculated. The obtained results indicate a clear asymmetry of voltage and current caused by the peculiarities of the AC contact network. The current distortion power, under all modes, on the primary and secondary windings has a slight difference, and the voltage distortion power on the side of the contact network significantly exceeds this indicator on the source side.
