Integrating Eye-Tracking Insights with User Feedback: A UX Evaluation of Website Landing Page

This study investigates the correlation between eye-tracking metrics and user feedback to evaluate user experience (UX) design effectiveness on website landing pages. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, we examined the interactions of users with three distinct versions of a website landing page, each designed with varying UX principles. Eye-tracking data provided objective insights into users’ visual attention and engagement, while traditional questionnaires captured subjective user perceptions and preferences. Our analysis reveals significant correlations between eye-tracking metrics, such as fixation duration and gaze patterns, with users’ subjective feedback on usability and aesthetic appeal. These findings highlight the potential of integrating eye-tracking technology with user feedback to enhance the design and evaluation process of website landing pages, offering valuable insights for UX researchers and practitioners aiming to optimize digital interfaces for improved user engagement and satisfaction.
