Determination of Reliability Improvement Objects Based on Aircraft MTBUR Analysis

Based on the operational reliability data of a certain type of regional aircraft, this study identifies the equipment that need to be carried out reliability improvement by calculating and analyzing the aircraft-level MTBUR (Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals), ATA system-level MTBUR, and equipment MTBUR on a step-by-step basis. In this process, the cost and the maintenance time of removed equipment are also taken into consideration to finally identify the equipment. The research results show that this method can well identify the key items which affect aircraft reliability indexes and effectively reduce the cost and time for product reliability improvement.
