Simulation and Fault Analysis of the DC Charging Control Pilot Circuit Based on National Charging System

The new generation of high-power charging standards for electric vehicles — the 2015+ (national charging system standard) — has released a draft for public consultation. Compared to the previous standard, the 2015+ not only enhances the stability and safety of the charging process but also significantly increases the charging power, catering to a more diverse range of charging scenarios. This paper will delve into the simulation study of the backward compatibility of the control pilot circuit based on the 2015+ standard. By conducting a comprehensive analysis of the voltage signals of the pilot circuit under normal operating conditions and in the event of a PE (protective earth) disconnection fault, this study provides empirical references and theoretical support for the technological advancement in the automotive industry. Through simulation, we can gain insights into the performance of the pilot circuit under various operating states, thereby offering data support for the optimization of charging technology and the enhancement of the reliability and safety of the charging system.
