Design and Research of Smart Power-assisted Seats

As the physical functions of the elderly decline or joint movements become inflexible, intelligent power-assisted chairs can help the elderly get up, sit down smoothly, and perform emergency call functions through voice or manipulation. Most of the power-assisted chairs in the existing market are automatically advanced first, which have disadvantages such as being bulky, having excessive cost, and poor experience. This research uses the theory of human mechanical engineering and the economy of use to design the size of power-assisted chairs for the elderly. The design requirements analyze the usage situation of elderly seats to obtain functional design requirements. Eventually, an intelligent power-assisted chair for the elderly with a simple structure, comfort, lightness, and economy is designed.
