Experimental Design of AC Loss Measurement for Superconductors Using Pulse Current Method

This paper aims to study and design an experiment based on the Pulse Current Method (PCM) for measuring the AC loss of superconductors. This method overcomes the limitations of traditional measurement techniques, particularly improving the accuracy of loss measurement in superconducting materials under low-temperature conditions. In the experiment, the PCM was used to measure the AC loss in both the conductor layer and the shielding layer of superconducting cable samples. The results show that the AC loss measured from the conductor layer using PCM is significantly lower than that measured using traditional methods, demonstrating the efficiency and accuracy of PCM in measuring AC loss across different superconducting materials.
