Application of Metasurfaces in Civil Aircraft Lighting Systems

As an ultra-thin electromagnetic artificial device that can modulate the amplitude, phase, and polarization of light at the wavelength scale, metasurfaces have gradually gained widespread attention. Their compact size and wavelength selectivity can effectively bring new solutions to some problems in current civil aircraft. This article proposes a novel solution to several common problems in current aircraft, using metasurfaces as the implementation carrier and the generalized Snell's law as the theoretical basis. The solution proposed in this article has the characteristics of light weight, small size, and flexible adjustability compared to traditional optical optimized methods, which has certain innovative guidance significance for optimizing civil aircraft lighting systems.
