Research on the Cloud-Based Scalable Geometric Kernel

As a fundamental technological component at the foundational layer of industrial software, the geometric kernel assumes a pivotal role in industrial product manufacturing, architectural design, simulation, and various other domains. In response to the trends of intelligence, connectivity, and specialization within geometric kernels, this paper introduces a Cloud-based Scalable Geometric Kernel (CSGK). Drawing upon the analysis of the open-source geometric kernel OpenCASCADE, the primary functional modules, application paradigms, and customizable extension methodologies for data structures and modeling algorithms within the CSGK were examined. Utilizing the creation of geometric models within the railway tunnel engineering industry as an experimental context, and via delving into the algorithm for adjusting moving frames, the Sweep surface modeling approach was enhanced, thereby validating the scalability of the CSGK. The functionality of the CSGK was further substantiated through the development of an application module designed to generate generalized tunnel models for railways.
