Evaluation of Power Performance for Monocrystalline & Polycrystalline Solar Module

Each year, the sun provides almost $5 \mathrm{x} 1024$ J of energy and hits the earth's surface, which is ten thousand times bigger than the real consumption of yearly energy in the world. Today, one of the essential requirements of developed and developing countries is energy. All the countries require cheap, large, and clean energy sources. Since students must study at night, there is a severe dearth of electricity in rural places. These days, a solar cell is needed to convert light energy into solar energy. Due to their high efficiency, monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar cells are suitable choices for radiance. Two PV modules (monocrystalline and polycrystalline) of exact specification mounted on a platform one-meter-high above the ground were used. The manufacturers of polycrystalline (NINGBO SUNBOY SBE9090) and monocrystalline (JN88.5×446) technical specifications were given at standard test conditions of solar radiation (1000 W/m2), temperature (25 °C). This study tries to investigate the power performance for the monocrystalline and polycrystalline modules using the MATLAB simulation and practical setup. The simulation result and the practical setup both show the same manner of power improvement for the monocrystalline module.
