Battery Management System on Competition Electric Car

In the Asatama competition electric car, the University of North Sumatra, which uses a lithium-type battery, must provide a Battery Management System (BMS) to control and protect the battery from the risk of fire. The BMS in this design is specifically designed for Asatama Electric Cars where the BMS will focus on 2 main functions: monitoring and security. The purpose of this final project is to design a Battery Management System (BMS) as a battery monitor and safety on the Asatama electric car, University of North Sumatra. Testing was carried out with 2 tests, namely with and without load. The results obtained in the unloaded state that the battery voltage is directly proportional to the battery percentage where the highest battery voltage is 50.1 V and the lowest battery voltage is 48.5 V with the highest battery percent of 76.9% and the lowest battery percent being 69% and in the loaded state that the battery voltage is directly proportional to the battery percentage where the highest battery voltage is 51.17 V and the lowest battery voltage is 49.75 V with the highest battery percent of 82.42% and the lowest battery percent is 75.14%.
