Analysis of Energy Consumption Used in Fish Storage Using Solar Panels (Photovoltaic) as an Energy Source

In the contemporary global context, climate change and sustainable energy have become pivotal concerns demanding comprehensive strategic approaches. Renewable energy sources emerge as a critical intervention, offering a pragmatic pathway to simultaneously mitigate environmental impacts and promote economic resilience. In this context, researchers integrate renewable technologies such as solar panels in increasing the efficiency of cooling storage for fishermen which is a strategic step that can have a positive impact economically and environmentally. The refrigerator's initial cooling load of 244.29 watts is incrementally adjusted by incorporating a 10% safety margin, elevating the total load to 268.72 watts. This recalibrated value serves as the foundational parameter for subsequent refrigerant mass flow rate and the capacity specifications of individual refrigerator components. The refrigerator's cooling cycle exhibits a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 16.73, derived from average ambient temperature of 34°C and the internal refrigerator temperature of 0 °C. The refrigerant capacity is 0.074 tons. To meet the refrigerator's energy demands, solar panels are installed, ensuring that the power generated exceeds the refrigerator's electrical consumption. The system requires two 50-watt peak capacity solar panels, a 10A solar charge controller, a SOO-watt inverter, and a 12V 35Ah battery.
