Knocking out Security Risks of Smart Video Doorbell Cameras

The aim of this research paper is to identify the security vulnerabilities in smart video doorbell cameras which are being widely used for home security purposes. This study will identify and analyze the security threats in these cameras including privacy protections, network exploitation, password management, and multi-factor authentication. This paper will not only review the current literature on the topic but also evaluate the steps manufacturers are taking to improve the security of these devices. The study will also provide recommendations for strengthening the security of video doorbell cameras to ensure user data and privacy are protected. This paper also aims to increase awareness among the users about the security threats caused by these devices and also encourage the manufacturers to move towards concentrating more on the security aspects of these devices rather than just trying to embed as many features as possible neglecting the security aspects of it.
